WHAT MEMBERSHIP FEES GO TOWARD:
A significant amount of membership fees go back into supporting our membership to support new growth in communities throughout the province, to promote the sport to new demographics, to develop new sport opportunities such as tournaments and skills clinics, and to implement our strategic plan developed in partnership with Sport Nova Scotia.
A portion of membership fees get passed on to Pickleball Canada to cover the costs of insurance, a comprehensive member database, and national level support for the growth and unification of pickleball across the country.
Some other ways membership fees support our members are through:
maintenance of the PNS website
purchasing equipment to lend to members for their events
subsidizing coach and referee certifications to promote more development opportunities and community support
dispute resolution (when required)
among other mission-aligned expenses
